MIS CHAOS

MIS CHAOS

2005-08-18 by fultonpark1

I placed my first order with MIS and I received a number of things that I did not order and
did not receive a number of things that I did order.
When I called customer service I was passed to three different people before I spoke with
someone who said he could take care of the problem. I was also told that it would be
shipped overnight. It was not shipped overnight but I was told that it was shipped second
day. I am waiting and told I would have it today.
I was told by a friend if I have tech questions not to talk to customer service but rather
speak with the tech line. When I called the tech line the customer service person answered
and told me he was the tech person.
I am usually reticent to complain about problems with a company because sometimes
complaints can snowball and create problems for a small company that are bigger than the
original complaint.
With problems like I experienced I start wondering about quality control especially since
a number of people are new to the whole process and we have enough to learn and should
not be concerned about the quality of a product.

Hello Raphael,

Sorry to hear about the problems, they certainly should not have
happened and that sort of thing is very frustrating. I am not trying
to excuse or justify what happened, but after having dealt with MIS
for several years now my take on it is that they are a small company
trying to keep up with a rapidly changing industry. I suspect the
work load there is high and there are bound to be mistakes on
occasion.

I too have had a few botched orders over the years, but the service
over all has been excellent+ and friendly. On several occasions I've
had to return things because of my mistake or changed circumstances,
and they have never refused or argued with me or challenged anything.

So my response is to not judge too harshly and give them a chance.
Many of their products are very popular, considered to be the best,
and not available anywhere else. MIS is a valuable resource and
lifeline for many of us. They are friends, not opponents. They are
on the good side of The Force, not the dark side <g>.

Regards,
Clayton

Like Clayton & others, I have found MIS customer service to be 1st
class in every way. Yes, they are a small company and yes they
sometimes make mistakes. But they always stand up and make things
right. Not only do they have some unique products, their service is
something like that existing many decades ago when you dealt with real
people who cared rather than the modern era. After you deal with them
for a while, you come to appreciate them. I could go on and on about
things they have done for me.
