pizza wheel tracks again

pizza wheel tracks again

2006-09-22 by Stephen Kobrin

After several years of use, my 1280 suddenly began to imprint "pizza
wheel" tracks on Museo Silver Rag prints. I assume it is due to wear
of some sort. Question: is the MIS "washer fix" the best way to
remedy the situation?

Thanks,

Steve

My 1280 -- which is new -- was also leaving tracks on my Museo Silver
Rag prints, so I removed the "pizza wheels" in just a couple of
minutes. It's very simple -- undo two Phillips head screws and remove
the slotted metal plate over the wheel row and snap out the wheel
assemblies toward the rear (there are three, if I recall). No washers
were needed.

There are instructions online:
http://www.inkjetart.com/pizza_wheel.html . Do not be intimidated by
the detailed narrative. This is a very simple task.

All the best,

Craig Roberts
