Since today, when I start-up my system there's one 134-1 with a strange behaviour.
When the module starts up the two leds are blinking, and they will go blinking faster and faster until both keep lit. When I turn the panning-pot, nothing happens, they both keep lit, as connected to a LFO....nothing....
Anyone any idea???
Cheers and thanks,
Danny

Hello, I'm sorry about the problems with the module. I cannot remember that we ever had a similar problem. The LED should not blink unless an external CV (e.g. from an LFO) is applied. I suppose that the module has to be repaired and follow the repair notes on the FAQ page of our website: www.doepfer.com > English > FAQ > General > Repair procedure If you are familiar with electronics the DIY repair notes may help: www.doepfer.com > English > FAQ > A-100 > DIY repair tips Best wishes Dieter Doepfer > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com [mailto:Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com] > Gesendet: Sonntag, 16. 1.) Switch off the system
2.) remove the A-134-1 and disconnect it from the supply bus
3.) switch on the system and check whether the -12 volts are available again
* if yes -> the module needs repair
* if no
4.) switch off the system
5.) remove all modules from the rack, do not keep any module connected
to the power bus
6.) switch on the system and check whether the -12 volts are available
* if no -> shot on the supplybus or powersupply broken
* if yes
7.) switch off the system
8.) mount the first module
9.) switch on the system and check whether the -12 volts are available
* if yes -> do the loop from 7.) with the next module
* if no -> you have found the module which causes the -12 volts to
break down.

First of all I'd recommend to remove all modules to make sure that the fault is not caused by another module. If you are a bit familiar with electronics you may alternatively disconnect the bus boards from the power supply and look at the control LEDs of the power supply. If the -12V are still missing without anything connected the supply is faulty. From your message I cannot see which power supply you have in use. If it's an A-100PSU2 probably the -12V voltage regulator is defective. If it's an A-100PSU3 the -15V module may be defective or the -12V voltage regulator. Thanks very much for your answers Dieter, it really helped me out. The (strange) story....When I pulled out the 184-1 I had back my -12V, now the strange thing, when I plugged it back in, I kept the -12V, so everything is ok now. Now I'm a 99% sure the module was build in right...I always check at least 5 times... Strange....but thanks very much for the help, this way it was fixed in a few minutes.
