Dear Steve,
Thanks for the tip. I removed the cards 3/4 & 5/6, and the
beasty is working again on full trusters - must have just been a loose
connection somewhere. If you could keep your eye open for me mate for a full
functional Series III Keyboard that I can plug into my MFX2. At the the moment I
am using as a master keyboard a Döppfer LMK2+, but to have an origional Series
III keyboard for the beasty would be wonderful.
Hope business is well and thanks again for your help
Best Regards
Michael

Dont take
the thumb screws all the way out, just screw them back in about 2 or 3 turns
and them use them as grips to pull the card out.
Only screw
them all the way in once your fault finding is over.

[Fairlight-CMI] Removal of Audio Output Cards on
MFX2
Hello All,
Hope you all enjoying your weekend.
Have found
out why channels 5 & 6 on my MFX2 in CMI III mode were not working - one
of the audio output cards on the back is defect. As I am a new CMI owner have
run into another small problem. I was advised by my good friend Peter in
Sydney to swop output 3 & 4 for 5 & 6 to make 100% sure that we have
found the fault. The only problem is, that I am having a little trouble
removing the cards from the back side of the machine.
There are 2 from
hand detachable screws per output card. would somebody please explain to me
the procedure for removing the cards safely.
Thanks for your help as
always gents
Best Regards
Michael
