The nice thing about arcing the front is it keeps everything a basically the same focal point and cuts the vertical dimension considerably. this cabinet fits three rows ans sits 11 1/2 inches high. I also thought it was a nice touch for this specific case as it's reminiscent of t

There's nothing wrong with shorting out the caps to direct couple the gate. Make sure though it's right ones. There are two .47 caps on each gate. The one you want to kill is the one closest to the faceplate, not the one next to the transistor. There is as well a 10uf electroytic
