obviously, some tqeeks have been made and its normal for the right cell of my VC timegen clock and VC timegen osc. i guess that's why your DTG never stopped, and mine (and Ross') do stop some time. did you have any DTG with ac black inputs? or only 'standard' DTG with no AC input

My experience generally agrees with John's, with the exception of noting that there does seem to be an upper boundary on the frequency at which the DTG can oscillate, so it's possible through CV to drive the "pitch" high enough to the point where oscillation breaks down. Chris --

uh. . no. it's not normal. the DTG will cycle unless you patch program it to stop. mine never stopped. I had eight or more of them and i would leave them running for weeks if that's how long it took me to work out the specifics of the patch i was working on. Do the LEDs go out? a

If you run the DTG 'too fast' it might lock up and stop oscillating. Is this what you're talking about? I think in order to do that you need to put some positive CV into it so it's running at a higher frequency than usual. This is normal behavior. You may want to talk to Rex abou
