The checksum thing is a check on the o/s in the firmware.
Thats assuming that the "flash" option works though. Mine takes a long time to respond (yes, theres probably somthing not quite right with it, but it works... eventually) so try pressing flash, and then waiting 5 mins or so and see what happens.
If it works, then you could grab a o/s revision form the files section, and dump that to the p3 via sysex. (midi-ox on a pc will do it for free...)
Incidentaly, i had to mess with the time pause between frames (?) on the sysex dump too, in order to get things right.
Worth a go maybee, unless someoen who knows better says somthing else?

Subject: RE: [analogue-sequencer] Can't start my P3
Hmmmm... just noticed that I get text... just had to turn the trim pot...
What I get is the "check fail 63ED" message and the boot and flash options,
but I can't get out of there. Do you think it can be the ribbon contact for
the keypad? Should it answer to F1 or F3? Is there any way I can check the
ribbon contacts?
Thanks
Robert
