> Hi everybody here,is it possible to find and where the file (for a > schaeffer) built for this front panel : > http://www.sequentix.com/gallery/p3-069.jpg I've uploaded the file for that panel to the Yahoo Group files section, in the DIY folder. Pay careful attention to the README file I posted with it. Changes may be needed to the FPD file depending on which board revision you have. > and the case for this front panel...do i need to buy the previous > memory if i am waiting for a new extension memory?thanks very much The case to go behind a Schaeffer panel is left as an exercise for the builder. How you should go about it depends on whether you feel more confident with metalwork, joinery, or macrame. I'm aware people are still waiting on a re-issue of the memory boards. I'll try really hard to firm up plans for this in the next week. Best regards, Colin Fraser Sequentix Music Systems Ltd http://www.sequentix.com

-hi Colin, after loading the shaeffer software..it seems that my 061 version 1.4 pcb pad key is good...i have a little doubt(1or2 millimetre)...when you change these key holes,do you move a lot?or just a few millimetres? best regards -- In analogue-sequencer@yahoogroups.com, "Colin Fraser" <colin@...> wrote: > > > > Hi everybody here,is it possible to find and where the file (for a > > schaeffer) built for this front panel : > > http://www.sequentix.com/gallery/p3-069.jpg > > I've uploaded the file for that panel to the Yahoo Group files section, in > the DIY folder. > Pay careful attention to the README file I posted with it. > Changes may be needed to the FPD file depending on which board revision you > have. > > > and the case for this front panel...do i need to buy the previous > > memory if i am waiting for a new extension memory?thanks very much > > The case to go behind a Schaeffer panel is left as an exercise for the > builder. > How you should go about it depends on whether you feel more confident with

There is only a difference in the distance from the top to the bottom holes, the horizontal dimensions are the same. If you print out the Schaeffer panel in 1:1 scale, wireframe mode, with reference points on, you will be able to sit the PCB on top of the printout, and see whether they line up with the panel holes. You can use either value or pot. 4k7 pots will draw a little more supply current, and in theory be less susceptible to noise, but in practice I don't think it made any difference. > could i make the update 3.8 with? If you mean a firmware update, all P3s are firmware compatible. > do you sell cherry custom p3 switches? I don't have any of the custom keyswitches left, sorry. > do you have a i/O pcb for multi midi out? I don't, but the later board is not pin-compatible with the connector on the earlier boards anyway. > have you an used front panel and > case...perhaps you want to sell..;-)(before i order to > schaeffer).thanks for your great work and your patience..i am not very > very experimented..and i must take care for each detail...best I have a prototype panel, but it has pot holes sized for Spectrol pots. If I can work out a way to make it suit Alpha pots without being all wiggly, I'll offer it up for sale during the imminent clear out of stuff I need to do. > hi colin...i forget!! for the led spacer which reference? i found for > 5mm led four lengths 3; 7.6; 12.7; 19...after 3 years..the code have > changed...thanks .can i cut them..i don't know this component > yet.. I wouldn't worry about the LED spacers. They make it easier to match the heights of the LEDs, but you can just do it by hand - only solder one leg of each LED, then you can adjust the heights once they are fitted to a panel.
