VCs End Out Problem

All OTA pin 4 and both 4069 pin 7s are connected to -5 Volts on the PCB. That is correct. If any are reading as 0V, you have left out a link, or you have a PCB with an etch fault (very uncommon). Ken >I just have built one half of the dual CMOS VCF and facing an unexpected issue.

I would highly recommend the product you are looking at. It can also be found under a number of different manufacturers names - Connor, Power One, etc. They work great and from what I understand they are what can be found "under the hood" of a few modular synthesizers companies.

Hello and welcome to synth DIY! There's no problem ordering from Elby Designs or from Ken Stone. It helps if you can use PayPal. I buy a lot of DIY stuff with PayPal. Yes, that power supply will work fine. It can be modified to put out +/-12V or +/-15V. Most DIY synths use +/-15V

the futurlec pots are Alpha pots. They have a smooth feel and seem to work fine. Don't know how they hold up in the long term. There are many synth diy-ers that use these, only trouble I've heard about is that some people got center detented pots delivered instead of regular pots

I'd guess that they'd be fine if you just bought a few and test them. The question is whether they will hold up or not. I used some cheap pots from AllElectronics about 8 years ago, that were about that price. They look exactly like alpha pots, but w/ a slightly different marking

Simple mixer question
