PFP Pro 1.1.1 won't read patches

PFP Pro 1.1.1 won't read patches

2006-07-04 by bill_hansen20012001

Win XP Pro with all service packs and updates.

This may be a re-post. I tried sending this message to the group
severalminutes ago but it obviously didn't make it onto the board.

Two days ago I printed out targets for two papers and let them dry
overnight, then make a profile for one of the targets today. That
went fine - just needed to increase Brightness by +2 to get an
essentially "perfect" profile.

But when I try to read patches of the second printout, I find that
(1)the "save measurements to" choice is grayed out, (2) the only
available choice is "select an existing measurement file", which
shows the file created for my first profile, and (3)I can't access
the "calibrate" function from the Tools dropdown.

I've tried shutting down PFP and opening it up again. I've tried re-
booting the computer. Neither helps. I don't see a solution in the
Help files. From reading this e-list, I have the impression that
uninstalling version 1.1.1 won't help either.

Is there a simple solution? Am I missing something dead obvious
here? Any suggestions appreciated. I'm dead in the water as far as
creating profiles is concerned.

I had the same problem. Did everything you did then
about 4 hours later it finally (no known reason) would
calibrate the Spectrocolor meter and read my prints.

Has it been 4 hours? Good luck! Dave

That might not be a coincidence, as there is a three hour timeout on the calibration... meaning it requires you to recalibrate after that length of time. We'll certainly look into this.
