I'm using EXSP24 with Digital Performer 3.11, OS 9.2.2, and it will not repsond to cc's 7 or 10. Is this common, or specific to my setup? Thanks, Robert

That's a Logic problem. Logic 'steals' CC7 and 10 for control of the mixer strip (volume & pan). That's ridiculous, since all other parameters (both of the mixer strip and of plug-ins) are controlled by Fader Events *except* volume and pan which still use controllers. But, ridiculous as it, is, that's how it is... -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra h @ k n o w a r e . n l Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com/

Thanks Hendrik, That's nutty, IMO. I heard back from ApplEmagic regarding this, and they said as much. The odd thing is, NONE of the "supported" controllers listed in the EXSP manual have any effect at all. I'm using EXSP with Digital Performer, and all my other softsynths (and hardsynths) respond to any controller they support. Could it be a VST Shell problem? Any DP users out there? Robert

I heard back from ApplEmagic >regarding this, and they said as much. Hmm... I only now see that you say you're using Performer, so my reply (which deals with a Logic-specific problem which has nothing to do with the EXSP as such) didn't make any sense at all... Sorry about that... >The odd thing is, NONE of the "supported" controllers >listed in the EXSP manual have any effect at all. Hmm... weird. I would try to send _every_ possible controller into the EXSP, to see if you can get any of the knobs moving. That's potentially 128 controllers to try out -- a bit of work, but often such 'brute force' is the only way to figure out what's going on. Maybe all controllers need some offset or something -- i.e. instead of controller 10-20 it might need controller 74-84 or something like that... -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra h @ k n o w a r e . n l Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com/
