I wonder...
For exemple,I run tdm with Logic.
This means that I have Protools Mix+
Run fine ,except that only two menus don't work (stay gray).
It's the 'dsp ressources' (kind of Allocator build in) ans 'Disk space'
I don't see any reasons of this disfunction.......

Remember that the unitor 8 Usb need an update driver for working with the G4
'Gigabit'..
The Mac serie after the first G4......

virtual memory

2001-02-26 by Guy

Hello all,

Does the recent advice to turn off virtual memory on Macs running
Logic/EXS24 also apply to PCs?

Regards (and drop outs on 16th notes)

Personally, if you've got 300 or 400+ MB of RAM, your system might run
better, but Microsoft warns against this and to be honest the MS memory
manager is pretty agile. Still, the basic principle of what I discussed
holds true on any platform. I don't know if it's worth worrying about in the
case of your PC. Try it and see what happens. Just remember your previous
settings and don't open 10 applications at once. If you exhaust your RAM
capacity, programs will slow down or cease to function, and Windows may
become unstable. Have fun! I doubt it will hurt anything to try it... Jer
