EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hi everyone,

I bought Pro Samples Advanced Orchestra for EXS24 today.
Some programs have clicks at the beginnning of the samples.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

The click is probably the result of a bad loop point. It's probably a 
small audio sample thats got a glitchy loop point.

The "click" could be coming form either the start of the sample or 
the end (ie..as it loops to beginning..it clicks, but the click could 
be the result of an issue at the end of the sample "or" the 
beginning (starting point).  It always sounds like it's the start of 
the note because it occurs at the "loop".

If you hear the click as soon as you depress the key to play it, 
then it's probably a bad start point.

If  it starts ok..but quickly starts clicking over and over as you hold 
the note..then it's a bad loop point at the end of the sample.

I'm not all that familiar with EXS editing,  but hopefully, you can 
open the instrtument in EXS editor and futz with the loop points 
until you get rid of it.  If not, try opening the audio sample file in an 
audio editor and looping it to check it for clicks. If there are no 
clicks..then the click is caused by bad loop points set in the EXS 
instrument.  If you find clicks in the audio sample, take them out 
in the audio editor. Then, resave the file.  That should get rid of it.

I noticed the same thing. I solved the problem by increasing the 
attack time on the offending programs, worked fine. I like the set 
overall, though I wish it had more instruments...

OK. The Click is at the beginning of the each sample of programs that 
have this illness. However, the weirdest thing happened when I played 
them in Kontakt. They have NO CLICKS!!!!!. Isn't it strange that 
Kontakt can play EXS Instruments (No Conversion) BETTER than EXS...???? 
I was shocked!!!!The instruments sounded fuller/better as well. I mean, 
it has to be something about those 5-6 programs that cause this since 
Steinway Grand by Pro Samples sound EXACTLY THE SAME in both Kontakt 
and EXS. I do not know what causes this but it really weird.

To answer Cyril's question, clicks cost $39.95USD per CD... :-)

If you want to send me one sample that click I could have a look to see who
is faulty.

If there are no click with Kontakt that means that it does not read from
beginning.

Can you send me support@... one of the .exs files? I'm sort of 
interested.
