C50 is fine. And the bias voltage at pin 13 of IC32 is .02V on the dead voice and -.04V on the working voices.

The two I have here are. I imagine the third P6 I have here is the same.

This is really encouraging guys. Thank you for your efforts. I have to post a pic of the 3rd 367 I have. You ll see why I m eager. It s easily the worst damage

Ha! I bet there are loads. I haven t scrutinized it to be honest. I ve looked at it as needed and don t have the skills to pick up those errors in the first

Great to see those pics! :)

Looks fantastic Jed... we all appreciate the work you guys have put in to make this happen, top stuff! Jay.

We re almost there: http://sites.google.com/site/jedjorgensen/klm367a/images We have a working prototype and I got the final edits to the gerber files last

Oh dear! Guess you are going to have to make exhaustive comparative checks between working and the non-working voice to get to the bottom of this one. It would

Q5 and Q6 are fine. I swapped out IC35 but the voice still doesn t sound when the VCA is set to EG mode. When set to gate mode, it sounds slightly lower in

You¹ll probably find the distinction is made on page 26 of the manual in the parts list. Although quite how you are supposed to match the diagrams to the

Thanks Andy. Will do. I didn t think they were the same. I was just surprised that the manual omits one from the other.

Any news on the new boards...? :) And would it help if we began giving you deposits for orders? My Polysix is currently at www.synthrepairservices.com just

They certainly look the same mechanically, but I should image the volume control would have a logarithmic sale rather than the others which are linear. If in

The LED does light on that voice. I checked voltages on IC35 and Q5 as you suggested and found two discrepencies with the other working voices. I m measuring
2010-02-07 by Andrew Jury
Hi, When you switch to EG mode does this non-sounding voice still light the LED? As a generic answer, you might want to perform some comparative measurements

One of the voices on a PolySix I m looking at does not sound when the VCA switch is set to EG. It does sound when the switch is set to waveform. I tried

Wonderful! Found the problem and resurrected the second P6. It was pin2 from IC31, leading underneath the 8048. I caught this flaw during my first tests and

Hi Andy, The real challenge will be to create 2 working Polysix synths out of this heap. I ve never scrapped a keyboard for parts before and I don t intend to

Don, Sounds a bit like Scrapheap Challenge . If you have that on TV where you are then you ll know what I mean. BTW. The CPU also has a T1 pin. This is for

Andy, Change of plans. I just put this KLM-367 in the other Polysix, fired it up, and it works! (sort of, sometimes, mostly). The knobs do the right thing, and

This thing is making me crazy. I checked the D00-D07 bus several times with a ohmmeter from CN10 to IC 24,26,30,31,33, 28, 29, 34, 35 and can t see a problem.

Hi, First of all check that you have -5vc at IC13 pin 7 with the MG speed pot fully counter clockwise. Fully clockwise you should have +5v at the same point.

Hi Andy, I ll check out the data bus and inhibits. No, the calibration did not go well. LEDs 1 and 8 are supposed to light up, and I could only get 1 and 5.

Hi Don, You almost certainly have track disconnections. Try and focus in on two places of the Œ367. First the data bus DO0-DO7 and the multiplex address bus
