More on the MidiKITI delimma...and Resurrection Drums

More on the MidiKITI delimma...and Resurrection Drums

2003-02-08 by jadiebooshkie <jadiebooshkie@yahoo.com>

Hi guys, just wanted to inform you on the status of my Midi KITI
that I ordered on Monday, 2/3/03, and was told it will be checked
and shipped out Tuesday FedEx Ground. I paid $210 for this item
with NO manuel or PS. I have made NUMEROUS long distance phone
calls and sent NUMEROUS emails to Mr Lee wondering WHEN I should
expect this item. I requested a tracking number and told him I
needed to be present when this package was delivered (I live in the
northeast, and ya'll have heard how BAD the weather has been) I
didn't want that package sitting out in the open elements. A
tracking number will show when this item will be delivered. Jeff
Lee assured me the package went out, the FedEx man never showed up
on Tues, when I called Wed for the tracking number I was told it
just so happened as we spoke his kid took it to the FedEx drop off.
I was told when the kid comes back that evening, he would call me or
email me the tracking number. Wednesday night...no call...no email!
I called again on Thursday afternoon, I was told his employee took
it and had it shipped Wednesday (and FedEx never came because their
truck broke down, if you believe that crap!), that was why it never
got shipped out when he promised me it would be on its way Tuesday.
He also told me that that employee would be in later that afternoon
and he would give me a call with the tracking info. I told Jeff I
would send him an email reminder to give me the tracking #.Thurs
night I called him as I received NO CALL or EMAIL!! I was told the
item went out, I should receive it by Tues 2/11. He said he would
send me the tracking number on Thursday night via email. Friday
afternoon, NO EMAIL...NO PHONE CALL. I placed a call again to Fla.
Was told by Jeff he had info on the desk and in his PC, he will send
it to my email very shortly. I stressed the fact he had my $210,
and I only had his word full of empty promises that he would get me
the tracking number. He knew why I wanted it, knew I had to be home
when it arrived or it would sit outside in the snow, or whatever the
weather decided for that day. I was told I would receive an email
shortly. Now, if I had someone bugging me, and I was a store owner,
I would take the minute it costs, and send them shipping info. You
can see that I was beginning to question this guy's honesty. Where
I come from, customers aren't treated like that. Here it is 7PM on
Friday 2/7...and I have not received an email, so I just placed
another call. I told the kid who answered that I was very disgusted
that they couldn't take the time to at least provide me with
shipping info. The kid put Jeff on the line, I told him he keeps
telling me he will give me shipping numbers, but I haven't received
it. Why can't a minute be taken, and this info sent to me via the
web. I stated that I felt like he was being dishonest...that ANYONE
I have done business with has always provided shipping info, it is a
form of proof that the transaction is real, honest and completed.
Resurrection Drums had my money...all I had was..."yah, I'll get
back to yas..." By the time I got off the phone, I almost lost my
religion. Jeff told me I would have the shipping information by 9PM
tonight, and he wanted to know why i was harassing
him....DUH!...Hello!....ya got my money...I have NO PROOF you sent
this KITI is what I basically told him. I also said I questioned
his honesty and integrity. Needless to say, it ended up with him
telling me not to ever call again. I said that was fine, he would
be hearing from the state attorney general and the credit card
company if I did not receive the KAT. Am I being unreasonable
guys?...Be honest!! I am writing all this to warn ANYONE who reads
this....Resurrection Drums is a shady operation. If you do
business...be warned...their word is not something you can count
on. And until this $210 KAT MidiKITI appears,or a verifiable
tracking number appears, I will consider this guy a crook...and
believe me, I will be putting the word out on the street NOT to do
business with these people....thankyou for letting me
vent...AGAIN...and where's that six pack I put away?.....Jade

Jade,

I don't know whether this guy is a crook, but I can tell you that
crooks are out there, and that many of them behave just like he
does. I speak from experience. Keep a copy of the post that I'm
replying to, as well as all of the exchanges between you and him
that you have. They may come in handy. If you decide to take action,
your first and best ally is the credit company. They will fight on
your behalf. I'm not saying don't contact the attorney general, but
the legal wheels are very slow, if not immobile. There are better
laws protecting vendors from delinquent buyers than vice versa. As
the member of a community with which this guy does business,
however, you can have an effect. You can post something on every
drum forum that you can think of, even the one at the Kat site. They
won't want to be associated with a deadbeat. Better business type
bureaus ought to know as well.

I ordered an oven from someone who never delivered it. His excuses
were remarkably like Lee's. When I went to the store to demand my
money back, he went to his desk and casually wrote me a check,
without so much as a word. The check bounced. I went to the cops;
they sent me to the courthouse. I contacted the Consumer Protection
Agency. To make a long story short, no one could do anything,
despite the fact that everyone knew that his guy was a sleaze bag
with a criminal past. We were contemplating our next move when by
sheer coincidence, we were contacted by the atty general who'd heard
of our case; they had a drawer full of complaints about this guy
accumulated over the years and decided to do something about it.
This was many months ago, and we still haven't seen any money,
although the atty gen's office calls from time to time to find out.
Be patient legally but perservere if the time should come. Lee may
yet come through. I hope so.

Ed

Thanks, buddy! You can bet that is why I posted
this..I am sure other drummers will pass the word. I
have an uncle who lives in Miami, I just sent him an
email to see if he could check this guy out for
me..perhaps even visit the store, or check to see if
there are any consumer complaints about this place.
They advertise on the web, and folks should steer
clear of slime like this. Even if you buy something
from ebay...ya get some kind of notice the item was
sent out....even the store clerk who took my last
phone call said it was shipped, but he knew I was
pissed, so he gave the phone to Jeff Lee.
I hope you can recover your money from that scum bag
that took you and your family for a ride. Seems
pathetic that crooks like these guys are protected
from honest, hard working folks like us. I know a guy
who made life miserable for a car dealer who sold him
a piece of crap...man, he had signs posted on every
tree and telephone pole on the entire block of the
dealer's location, and get this...he even had a huge
lemon mounted on top of the piece of crap...and he
would park it right in front of the dealer's
business...and advertise about what a screwin' he got
from the dealer. There was chaos on that block for a
long time, and eventually that
guembarrassmentembarassment to the dealer, and he got
a new car. Unfortunately, I don't live in Fla....I
just pray that this item will come....Thanks for the
support!...Jade

Stick it to 'em! This guys is definately not very
concerned about providing a good business! Id it were
me, I'd cancel everything: The order, the credit card
authorization. I know you want the KAT and having
been looking for awhile, but another opportunity will
present itself.
