The other vocoders are no alternative for me since they are not as flexible as the A129-1/2. I repeat it again, I am not interest in using it with voice. And it's all about the voltage control and the swapping of bands and all those creative things you can actually do with a voco

JUST as an option, I use the electroharmonix V256. No voltage control (I haven't looked at the module so I don't know what it can do) but it sounds fantastic as long as you have a good mic (don't use a 57 or 58, get something like an AT2020). WAY better than microkorg, Korg M3 (b

A passive Mult wouldn't guarantee the effect you want. What you need is some type of waveshaping (i.e. a nonlinearity) *after* the addition. It's possible that an active mult could achieve this, but only if you overloaded it with the osc signals. I don't know though, I'm only a D
