It works! You were correct, Dieter. The track was severed at the header pads. I was guessing some more complicated electronic problem. Since I removed the 10 UF power caps, I just replaced them and ran the +V lead along the trace to the header, soldering it to the trace and then

As far as I know, you can theoretically just keep daisy chaining together different bus boards. The A-185-1 comes in handy when you have more than two oscillators, and want to get them all to play the same note. :) It's very useful, but certainly not required when your MIDI to CV

The busses can be connected, there is no electrical reason why not. The main thing to avoid is plugging more than one gate or CV SOURCE into the bus. If you don't have the special little header/jumper cables to connect them then the other easy way is to just cross connect two unu

Maybe it can be worked around like this: The oscilator's wave goes to comparator positive input. (Negative to GND) It's output goes to logic AND with Gate. The AND's output goes back to comparator's positive and to the VCA. This system should delay gate right until nearest zero-c

There is a new breed of digital VCA available to get around this very problem (sadly not available from Doepfer yet, hint, hint Dieter!) . The VCA only opens when the waveform crosses the zero line. No more clicking on fast envelopes. -- Sean

Hello Steve, as Dieter wrote you may use the Hard-Sync. But it won't solve your click problem, because the hard sync resets to the minimum of the waveform. To avoid the click at very fast attack rates you would have to reset to the zero crossing (=the middle) of the waveform. The

Re: Clicking Some of my synths do this more than others (esp. analogs). FWIW my A111-5/A190-3 combo don't do it nearly as bad as my other analogs. Sometimes, although it may seem counter intuitive, raising the attack time can help. Apologies if you've tried it already.

Ok Thanks! I thought one needed a A-185-1 for every two oscillators because on the Doepfer site it says " In general the A-185 is recommended as soon as more than 2 VCO's (A-110, A-111) are controlled by the same control voltage source." But I must have misunderstand that remark.
