I had the same problem which was (in my case) actually a short in the power cable, once i got a new power cable from paul, all worked well. ... Please reply

Thanks guys! It was an evil power cable...I guess using an old ac cable you find on the street hooked to an ancient laserwriter isn t the best idea after all
