Before you replace: Try to swap the chip for voice 2 with that of another one and see if the problem moves as well. Sometimes just pressing down on the chips

It certainly is possible, and the patches are freely available to download. There are two sets, M1K old and M1k new, but the exact difference is now obscure.

Yes you have to have someone make an eprom for you. Or you can buy an eprom burner that can burn (program) the older eproms and do it yourself. Look on Ebay
