I d recommend: MicroKorg Out - XL-7 In XL-7 Out A - MicroKorg In XL-7 Out B - MC09 In That way you can have the XL-7 route the MIDI automatically

I don t have an XX-7 but from what I have read here and elsewhere, you can t do the polyrhythmic stuff like you can on the RS7000. I think you should look here
