I had the E350. It had it's own glitchiness and an unfathomable interface. Very powerful but you never knew where you were in the wavetables. I prefer and kept the E340 cloud generator which has an identical interface and that works better with the underlying digital oscillations

As Jason mentioned, the newer versions of the 250e software produce a voltage proportional to the stage number. This can be useful for synchronizing two 250e's in conjunction with strobed or continuous mode. The software for the 250e has had numerous updates, to clean up the code

I'd think the 250e's stage addressing features, including the strobe, continuous, along with the jumps and loop would be tops on the first encounter list. The 261e has some very nice bonus behaviors when the mod osc is set to track, while fm'ing the principle. The 291e is a rabbi
