Depends on what you are going to do. I use a separate mixer before I feed the MOTU 24i. I use effects in the outboard mixer mainly from the dsp1024(behringer)

only the sw1000xg has a midi in/out. the plg150an is a plugin board that plugs into the sw1000xg and has no midi interface. dan. Dale Kay

You would better off buying a multiclient midi interface then route its I/O to your synths and editors,.I use MAudio 8x8 usb-it works fine. Regards Alien
