Several years ago I tested which MT connector pins were connected to which jacks. I am sure I posted it here, but it seems like you have figured it out anyway.

Yes, that s the same pin-out for the Casio MT interface. #4, data-out to the recorder; #5, data-in from the recorder to the CZ. 1, 2 and 3 are ground. 7 and 6

... They can t have been cheap though, compared to a conventional active lowpass filter. Maybe the lower parts count (ie. less board-stuffing) made up for it.
