I didn't know either what to expect of an Analog Shift Register, but i did find some interesting info online here: http://hardsync.blogspot.com/2009/03/brief-history-of-analog-shift-registers.html Wikipedia does also provide some extra theory. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shift_r

Okay, It has been a while again, so I'll bring it up again. I believe it is time for a Doepfer analogue shift register. Plan B is not sold by any dealer anymore and most people are too scared to deal with mr. Grenader himself. No signs of life on the Plan B/Ear website for ages..

Hello Andras The input option from Ray is not bad, but maybe a little overkill. I think, two simple transistor buffers (one for clock, one for start/stop-Gate) should be enough: BC549, 47k from MSY out to base, collector to +12V, emitter via 10k to ground, emitter via 1k to seque

Both my A-140 have a true header/jumpers in the upper left corner marked INT.GATE J1. When the jumper is installed the A-140 connects to the bus. If yours does not have the header then a wire soldered across the 2 pads should work. There is not current enough to make a short big

Hi, Thanks. But the jumper is in the correct position, and I was unclear: I'm trying to use it to send voltage to an A-111 (and the 164-1 to send gate to the A-140, both of which are on a different bus). The A-185-2 and A-111 are on the same row/bus in a A-100P6 suitcase, but the

Hi Ernst, The A-185-2 has a jumper J5 which needs to have the link connecting the two lower pins to get CV out to the bus. The A-185-2, unlike the A-185 does not have a gate bus connection so the A-140 will not get triggered. Also if you have multiple bus boards you will need to

Hi Sean, You are right, drawing more current will more likely affect series devices like diodes and regulators. In the case of the reservoir caps maybe the voltage rating is inadequate - what voltage are the capacitors? Maybe replace with the next higher voltage! Cheers Tony ---
