Bad! If you are taking it before the 470k, at the IC pin, you are risking your chip. If you take it the bus side, you are connecting to a summing node, where the voltage never varys from 0 volts! Connect a 1k resistor the collector of each of the LED driver transistors. Run thoes

of course, this always happens. as soon as i post... turns out the 2907s i got are rogue ones with backwards pinout. swap it out, boom! nice signal. backwards resonance pot, but i can easily fix that... thanks all.

So I double checked my wiring (I had wired the normalized connection) however I noticed a gap between the "switch" metal and the "tip" metal in the jack so the connection wasn't being made. I swapped the bad jack out for another and the digital noise is working as its supposed to

Hi folks. I just finished building my second VCS, and when I flip the trigger switch on, the VCS does not oscillate. I have verified the switch is functional and that it is wired correctly. Is this the problem that you mention Ken where you need to replace that 10n cap with a 1n?
