spyder 4 express problems

spyder 4 express problems

2013-07-22 by dan.0168

It has given my overall hue a blue tint. Also, photoshop says the profile it created is defective. My images all have a red mask when opened. Please help. thanks.

Tell us about your computer setup! Windows or Mac? Which OS version?

Sounds like there may have been something interfering with the calibration. A energy saver coming on, perhaps? First thing is to build a new profile from scratch, making sure the sensor does not fall off the screen, no other application pops up a window in the middle of the process, and no dimming effect interferes.

Well, you can return your computer to its previous state by selecting a generic display profile or sRGB as your display profile. So thats not an issue. Now that you mention there is an error message, that makes it much clearer what is going on. If you will go to datacolor.com and set up a support ticket, including your Platform, OS version, Spyder software version, and the EXACT error message you are getting, they should be able to assist you in solving this, they do a very good job.

windows 7.....just got off the phone with a rep and still no help. Same results. He said there seems to be a conflict between the spyder and my computer.

That was not what I recommended. Please submit a support ticket at datacolor.com; which will get you the best help, the most quickly.

this is the response i receive after creating a service ticket.....i don't see any of these in my start up to disable....is there not a real person i can call for help?

Depending on your graphic card you can disable the control panel.

For AMD/ATI it's a programm called "cli.exe".
For nVidia-Cards it's a program called either "nvcpl.dll" or "nwiz.exe".
For Intel-Cards it's a program called either - hkcmd.exe - igfxtray.exe or - igfxpers.exe

Have some patience! The Spyder 4 is an excellent product! DataColor has excellent support... You want bad support go to x-rite! I'm serous... you'll never have direct contact with the company as you do here!

this is the response i receive after creating a service ticket.....i don't see any of these in my start up to disable....is there not a real person i can call for help?

Depending on your graphic card you can disable the control panel.

For AMD/ATI it's a programm called "cli.exe".
For nVidia-Cards it's a program called either "nvcpl.dll" or "nwiz.exe".
For Intel-Cards it's a program called either - hkcmd.exe - igfxtray.exe or - igfxpers.exe

That was not what I recommended. Please submit a support ticket at datacolor.com; which will get you the best help, the most quickly.

windows 7.....just got off the phone with a rep and still no help. Same results. He said there seems to be a conflict between the spyder and my computer.
