Doepfer MTV16 and MIDI buffer?

2009-03-26 by ysinollaysi

From the Manual: "The Midi input of MTV16 is not suitable for large amounts of Midi data ... as the Midi in buffer is only 48 bytes." What does this mean in practise? I don't have a faintest idea how much 48 bytes is in this context. - Markus

I did a search of the database and didn't see anything describing this. I just got a used a-132 dual voltage controlled amplifier. The upper VCA is functioning properly. The lower VCA is not working properly. It has a very low output and "thumps" or "pops" when it opens/closes no

Hi Bryan, There is a piece here on measures to take to try and solve jack contact problems http://www.doepfer.de/faq/a100_faq.htm#contact problems though it does say it applied to older jacks/modules (they jack went through a minor design change apparently) - there might be some

a143-1 intermittent jack

2009-03-25 by Bryan E Cornell

I think I finally figured out why the a143-1 has never quite made sense to me. It's putting out an intermittent signal from the mix jack. I confirmed this by mixing the individual envelope signals with my blacet mixer. Is there a contact I can bend to make the jack work more regu

The Dark Energy synth looks great ... but where is the slew/glide control? I do like the idea of building a micro modular out of the A111-5, and 3-4 other modules. Maybe 50HP wide with a strip underneath for the A115 pin breakouts (Inverter In/Out, LFO & ADSR out), plus a multipl

That's nothing but a standalone version of the A-111-5 with vintage type knobs. The unit is built into a black metal case with power supply and Midi/USB interface. And the distance between the controls is more than in the A-100 because of the larger knobs. Details can be found in
