I have no idea about the prices in the Us, but perhaps there is a illegal warmongery tax that you pay over there ;) Just Kiddin'. Well I don't think you can buy from Doepfer directly sinces there is a us sales rep, but you can buy from Touched by sound in germany. I have done so

John, I've purchased a quite bit of Doepfer stuff from Enport. I asked Doug why the sharp price hike, and he said that he held off raising price for a while now, but with the current exchange rate of the Euro, and import fees, he'd be losing money if he didn't raise the prices. I

Wouldn't that violate Doepfer's territory agreement with its U.S. dealer? I don't think you can even buy from the Canadian dealer. There are probably factors that would explain the apparent price difference to your satisfaction. My pretty strong impression is that Doug's no gouge

thanks for all the replies guys, its a little worrying thats its happened a few other times also. yikes !!!!!! i am only running a mini system so its def not a case of overload at my end. maybe they had a batch of bad transformers. tim, i checked out my fuses and they were all ok

I had the exact same thing happen to one of my G6's, and since it was faily new, Dieter/Enport replaced it. I've had no further trouble with any power since then. If you bought it second hand, you'll probably have to but a new one. The explanation was that it was probably just a

Hi Neil, Yikes! Nasty. If I remember correctly, wasn't your system secondhand? It might be interesting to see if you can establish whether the correct fuse was fitted to the power receptacle, if you can still find it in the melted remains, or see whether it had been tampered with
