I m a bit clueless about samplers etc, so what exactly wiould I need to be able to have a feew sounds from the pinder cdrom ready to play in a gig situation?

Late 70 s is when I first started to see real lasers on rock stages - I believe Blue Oyster Cult was the first live show I saw with lasers, about 1977-ish.
