Hey all, I’m trying to get my head around what the X Fader can and can’t do. According to the module info, if I have two audio signals plugged into it, then as one signal fades in volume, the other should increase. But I’m having trouble finding a patch that will demonstrate this

Hi John, Unfortunately, its not only longer attack times where the missing retriggering functionality can become a problem. Image a very simple patch in which one half of a DSG/DTG is controlling both the cutoff frequency of a lowpass filter and the final patch volume via a VCA.

some vc-switches need an X volts voltage to switch between the two inputs (staying at input 2 as long as the voltage is X volts high) and not a trigger to go from input 1 to input 2. if a switch needs a trigger to switch between its inputs then it would be a clocked switch. Bakis
