Finally sorted it! Seems I had two bad LM393s in the last batch I bought. What are the chances of swapping one out, suspecting it to possibly be faulty, only to replace it with another brand new one that was also faulty! Grrrr, dodgy Ebay source I suspect. Thanks for the advice K

I've visually checked all the resistors, all the diodes are the correct orientation, all polarised caps are correct. The only thing that I can't check is all the non-polarised caps as I mounted some of them with the legend facing into the back of the panel so can read them in sit

By the last quarter of the pot, the resonance should be getting pretty full-on. Did you use a log pot? Check for errors in your resistor values, etc. Most likely, there is an error somewhere there. If all seems okay, try reducing the value of the 68k connected to the wiper of the

1973 VCF resonance

Hello, On my 1973 VCF, the useful range on the resonance pot is quite limited. For the first 3/4 of the range the sound does not really change. Resonance appears only on the last 1/4 of the pot. Is that the expected behavior ? Cheers, Julien

Use both of them. Drill an extra hole in the panel. I have six DUSGs in my system and four of them have both outputs. Or you can use a switch to toggle between DCO and BPO

Thanks Ken! The question came out because I couldn't actually figure out how those adapters work, for it wasn't 100% clear whether they originated 5V by themselves or activated a pre-existing 5V filament as on Doepfer power rails: turns out the latter was false. :-(
