Check your power supply too, the MD s are very succeptible to power spikes and drop outs. A cheap UPS has solved alot of people s issues, and is good

I did this as well. And actually, changing the Midi drivers in Ableton on each port from Directx to MME cleaned up a LOT of timing slop.

Sync issues with Ableton Live is an old problem. I have the same, and i have try everything. The problem come from the Machinedrum midi clock.
