Emax does not have IDE. IDE is NOT the same as SCSI. Different pinouts as well as different access protocols. As to a DIY- CF SCSI drive- yes, it s been done.

No, it will not be seen. You need a PCMCIA card adapter and on top of that, only certain types of PCMCIA adapters work. -Scott

because the pcmcia is flash media type interface and the cf cards are the same type ide interface and work as bootable hd the sd ram cards need extra chips
