desolder 2 connections remove old 1 by sliding it out the new 1 comes over sized a little you have to trim it to fit then just slide it into place and resolder

Reolved the problem. Seems to have been all the CF cards after all. The only one I ve got that works 100 percent is a Calumet ProSpec UDMA 1GB 305x CF card.
