I would stick to using Ponyprog with a parallel programmer, I also once had a problem with an STK200 not working due to the type of parallel port setup in the Bios, so if all else fails, might pay to check that youve got the parallel port set up correctly. Cheers Hein B Auckland,

Don't shoot...don't shoot! Microchip has some reset chips that are also pin compatible. Take a look at the MCP3819 series...about half a buck. They make interesting interface chips that are also very inexpensive, even in onesies and twosies. We use their D/As in several products.
