On the 8m you can program panning separately from the patch, basically you can program the sound and then set the whole thing to pan according to auto pan,

The VZ8m- Less filling (takes up 1 rack space) has 2 banks of fun presets. The VZ10m- Has large Blue screen Has 16 voices (as opposed to 8 voices on the 8m)
