I feel it would be almost impossible to get a CZ to sound as good as DX7 I have both by the way. I love my CZ, but the DX7 is a much better instrument overall

Sound like quite some nonsense to me, even if that would be possible the CZ Synths don t have filters no real and no emulated ones, it s rather some kind of FM

Someone told me that the FZ-1 in a sense has a CZ-1 inside of it-meaning that it of course samples but also can push the samples through phase distortion.

I think FZ is not only clean but also warm because of its analog filter. I suspect that the filter may be the same as other CASIO s 2-pole analog filters -

My guess is that Casio provided the original documents. I don t think Casio copyrighted the midi material for the CZ line. If I am right, it would probably not
