Thanks for your quick reply Colin. I understand that P3 patterns are for the step seq side and that CK patterns can be used for recording chords/basslines/leads etc in a linear fashion. Is the CK side able to record and edit in depth, cut/paste/copy etc as say on an Akai MPC? Cou

Hi Just seen the breakout box prototype. Looks good. Just wondered if it would be out of the question to have the DB25 mounted on the back of the box and then the rear connected to the circuit board and sockets via an internal connector. That would allow the faceplate to be chang

I don't foresee a problem with that John. Once we've looked at the costs for the various CVIO options, I'll publish a price for the CVIO option excluding the break-out box as I think a few other customers may also opt to go down the roll-your-own route. Cheers Barbara

Hi Guys A technical reply from me, while the boss is away this weekend ;) The CVIO model requires the CVIO circuit board to be fitted inside the Cirklon, and the 25 pin connector needs fitted in place of the blanking plate on the back. The break-out box is also included in the £2

No pin connector with the standard cirklon, just a blanking plate. I'm not sure but it probs can be retro fitted. It you are remotely interested in cv then having this fitted is a no-brainer. And yes the extra cost does cover the break-out box I believe. > >-----Original Message-

Can someone clarify what exactly the extra £200 for the CVIO Cirklon gets you? Is it a) a 25-pin D-connector on the rear panel of the sequencer or b) an actual external break box ? If the standard Cirklon (£999) comes with the 25 pin connector, then it must be possible to "upgrad

Thanks James. I've realised apart from it's CV/Gate output, the Kenton Pro Solo Mk2 also outputs din sync, and 12, 24, or 48 clocks per quarter note which will be essential to drive my LM2 (48 cpqn). These extras, plus the cash saving are steering me towards the CVIO less Cirklon

A Kenton Pro Solo new is 116ukp and the upcharge on the Cirklon is 200ukp. They are a little different but it seems the price differential is close enough to make the CVIO option reasonable and if you get a modular rig or some other monosynth in the future you are already hooked

I've five midi synths and one CV/Gate mono SH101 and just wondering if the Cirklon CVIO option would be overkill.... and an expensive way of sequencing just that one synth via this method? I may add another mono at a much later date, but that's only 50/50 chance. Also the CV brea
