The Kaossilator doesn t have MIDI, so it can t control the Evolver. The Mini KP, on the other hand, might be really fun with the Evolver. Not as a controller

When you write click do you mean detents? Encoders with detents click with each value. Without detents a knob is smooth when you turn it. -- Iain

No! The MEK doesn t click! You can however see the current value by twisting the knob only slightly, sort of like on the MED but without the actual click.

hell no. some people have trouble with the layout. it s fine but takes some work to get used to. but to do all that in such a small package, IMO it s worth it.

Yes - it is usable but much more tedious to edit than the MED. I really don t mind the MED, BTW. The included soundtower software editor is a huge help. jmw

It s subtle. If you want more sloppiness, use an LFO or 2 (1 modulating the other s amount/rate/etc...)

I agree, I ve come to think of the evo as a tiny ARP 2600. It can be dauntingly deep, but it s worth the time in exploring all of it s possibilities. jmw
