hi duff, one simple use of it is to have gated clocks.by using the AND function you can make the a155 receive clock pulses only when you play a note on the keyboard(when you send a gate signal...)but many of us will think of many other uses,that's for sure!!i haven't tried it.it'

thanks bakis, joe, yes, that makes sense..easier to imagine other uses once i understand one or two such as you mention. also, i've heard the term 'gated clock' before but couldn't figure out what the hell it means til now. re availability, didn't realize the a166 is not out yet.
