As I recall, the sync input in the General Interface box was never implemented. (It's been a while since I've checked it out, but I believe that this is the case. I'll be inside the CMI soon, so I can verify this) You sync the IIx by using a 384 PPQ sync into the sync input on th

Hi Josin, thanks for the suggestion but it is not a problem to generate clocks...... I have 10 different sync-boxes that can supply the clocksignals. The problem is how to input them into the CMI and getting it to sync. WT ----- Original Message ----- From: "Josin Miranda" To: Se

Hi Billy ! Thanks for the answer. The IIx unfortunately doesn´t sync to Midi. The manuals that I have for the General Interface card doesn´t go into detail about how to sync the IIx. What I like to do is feed clocks ( 384 ppq as I can decipher from various sources ) into the CMI

In the past - we would record a track of sync tone and then feed it back to the Fairlight (IIx) to sync the Fairlight to tape. I never ttried synching with midi though i would assume this can be done on the IIx. I sync with SMPTE now on a series III. good luck. billyrock --- In F

I've forgotten! I think I would just send it a sync tone. It should be in the manual. I think it's the 3 pin din connector that I used. SMPTE it will trigger the start time and then the CMI runs at it's own tempo. Not so easy to get it to sync 100% IIRC David --- In Fairlight-CMI
