How hard would it be to design a new card for the IIx that can read and write to a modern, LARGE flashcard? Booting from it and storing sounds etc.? The Original drives could be left in place, making it possible to keep using these when needed and to keep the original looks......

Hi peter, There is a thread from long ago in this forum that even had pictures. Scan for 'lamp' or 'bulb'. Also, you might be able to replace the lamps with white LEDs and a resistor. If you carefully remove the bulb part and insert the LED instead you have the correct fitting. S
