I have seen this system on ebay twice before . It is definetely not a Synclavier 9600. This is a classic Synclavier PSMT system. The MIDInet interface must have been added at a later time. MIght nevertheless be a beautiful system if it has been well cept and maintained. This is t

You can see Paul Humphries playing a II or IIx on OMD's "If You Leave" video. Before I got my IIx, I saw them everywhere. :-) Cheers, Laurence __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo! Mail - 100MB free storage! http://promotions.yahoo.com/new_mail

Hi Chris, I've tried all this and a few other MIDI checks so the only thing it can be is that the MIDI card on the Fairlight is faulty. All MIDI cables work and all IN/OUT's on both of my Midex-8's and the Delta 1010 work fine. Basically there is no MIDI information leaving the F

Yeah, Soul 2 Soul's "Back to Life" heavily features Nelly Hooper looking fairly cool playing a Fairlight Series III. I only just noticed the Mainframe yesterday, when I saw it again on VH1 :-) -----Original Message----- From: Marcin 'Rambo' Roguski [mailto:rambo@id.uw.edu.pl] Sen

Hi I've just found an external SCSI 150 mb tapestreamer from Tandberg. Will the standard CMI III (operating system 6.03) be able to recognize and use it or shouldn't I try to connect it for the health of the CMI III? Best regards Brian

For the fanzines: A series III music keyboard can be seen in Anastacia's video clip for her current single Sick and Tired. One of the few recent appearances of a Fairlight in an MTV aired videoclip. It appears to me to be a series III because of the white colour of the MKB, a lot

Thanks Chris, I'll give this a go and let you know how I get on... With regards to the Midex light panels coming on, I've just realised the Fairlight is plugged into my soundcard MIDI ports (Delta 1010), but their lights don't indicate any Input, only Output so can only assume it

Hi Chris, yes I'm still waiting for 32MB RAM cards too, I told Peter I would order two also a while back. for the time being, I swapped out all 7 of my 2MB RAM cards with two 8MB RAM cards. This helps a lot and cuts down on heat. I can add back in some more 2MB cards but then I'm

Hi Chris, Yes, it is good news for the CMI. Regarding the 32 meg boards, there are many series 3 owners who would buy one of these straight away if they were available. I am afraid at the moment it doesn't look good for another run of these boards. I have been pestering for ages
