Hella hells yes! I figured it out :D I had the nord global midi channel set to ch 16, which was also set to the 'special midi channel' for P3 remote control; thus changing the part # in P3 rather than thru-ing to prog change the performance # of the nord. OK thanks for helping me

Regarding looping and suchlike, here's one of my thoughts on the P4 memory management. I like the idea of cloning, but it seems to me that it happens at too high a level (i.e. it includes all the patterns in a part, plus the loop information). I would prefer it to happen purely a
