time for me to add my 2 cents-worth, being as I've got three maqs & have just shoved a schaltwerk out of the studio & out of the country. there are a couple of slightly more fundamental reasons why we keep the maq- it's very very easy to use. especially if you hook up a midi cont

one thing the MAQ can do that I don't believe the P3 can do (unless i'm missing the feature), is that each row on the MAQ can be transposed by midi on separate midi channels, so different transpositions are possible for each row. i believe the P3 only responds to global transpose

Well, one cool thing that I wanted Colin to implement ( and still want) is; You do a sequence on the MAQ, then you can auto expand/ contract on the fly to 1 to 5 octaves the only thing why I still keep mine. Hans ________________________________> To: analogue-sequencer@yahoogroup

Hi Colin, The "teach function" send only one value to the midi out, as I like to use P3 with virtual synths too, they usually need more data to learn the assignment correctly. Something gradually from 0 to 127. Could you improve this function? It can be helpful for users like me.
