I have installed a trimmer and I have found out that with adding a 270Kohm resistor to the existing 100Kohm resistor (370Kohm in total) , the gain potentiometer works in full range :) thanks for pointing this out Richard :) Ken suggested that the previous range was "normal" behav

I think I know the problem. The schematic shows the Initial Gain pot going to +15 volts and the resistor on the PC board is 100K. The CV input resistor is also 100K, which is for a sensitivity of full gain at +5V. I would have to look, but I think for my build I substituted a 270

The optional initial gain pot? That sort of functionality is okay, as it allows you to compensate for negative CVs on the other inputs, such as when using LFOs that are centered around 0 volts. The hum would be related to your build. Perhaps using shielded wires on the signal inp

Hi Bbob, swapping the 2k2 and 1k would work. For the 680/820 pair, you will need to find a new ratio, as swapping them does not make a large enough difference. No changes are needed for the inputs. Ken On Fri, Dec 12, 2014 at 7:49 AM, fluxmonk@... [cgs_synth] cgs_synth@yahoogroup

The LEDs are used as diode isolation for the outputs. You need them, or a 1N4148 in their place. Add the bulb between the LED anode and 0V. The bulbs well see around one volt less than your power rail. (11V on a 12V system. 14V on a 15V system) On Sun, Sep 28, 2014 at 8:20 PM, ad

For a 15V transformer, it should be much higher than that. I'd expect to see at least 18 volts across each.

If there are no +V or -V pads, yes, that is as good a place as any. Early versions of the board didn't have the extra +V or -V pads, so the rear of the power header was a convenient place to connect them.
