Ended up being the TL072 on the output. I also installed 1K in place of the 4.7K in the resonance path for extra juice. On Thursday, May 29, 2014 1:24 AM, "Dmitri SFC dankedout415@... [cgs_synth]" wrote: pot value too big ? d --

Hi Ken I've been troubleshooting my 5 Band pass array on my COA VV4 panel. On the lowest BPF the influence of the Freq pot only kicks in at the last few mm of pot travel towards CW. I've beeped out the connections for both pots , they are correct. Could this be a blown TL072 caus

Hi, I'm getting a really low volume at the mix output on the cgs90 phaser. The signals seem normal until after the 68k resistors on the mix section, which leads me to believe that the op amp should be providing some extra gain that it's not in my case. Everything appears to be so

Re: Serge Res Eq troubleshoot Hey thanks! It wasn't a pot wired wrong but it was a grounding issue, I am using bare wire for the ground bus among the pots and some slack was too close to the wipers on a couple pots. All sorted, sounds great!

Did you ground it to the right side of the input jack? If you grounded it to the signal pin, behavior would have been weird! The fact the the normal frequency pot works indicates the filter itself is fine, because all the pot is doing is injecting a voltage into an identical inpu

Hey all, I've just built 4 of the serge resonant eq's. 2 of them work perfectly but the other two each have two bands next to each other (different for each board) that don't do any cut or boost until the very end of the pot travel at which point they short out the signal. I have

Something is certainly wrong. The pots themselves are not used in such a way that crackles and pops would be expected. You probably have a construction error somewhere that is allowing too much gain at one stage, causing it to clip. Make sure the diodes and 470R around pins 6-7 o

Hi, I have an older version of this module and it's never really sounded right. All of the pots make crackling noises and pops when turned, making the module not very useful. I don't think it's a batch of bad pots as it still makes noise when controlled from a LFO when the modula

The span trim resistor should stay 4.7k. The goal for that trimmer is to dial in a resistance equal to the ~10k feedback resistor in the adjacent op-amp (unity gain output). Of course, if you don't match the other two 10k resistors in the other inverter to that first 10k, you can

Is Q1 at the chip itself always 0? If yes, you really do have a short. If it works there, you have a broken track or bad joint between the chip and the rest of the circuity. Make sure you have the correct version of the chip in there too, not a 74HC version. >Hello > >I built the
