So - I played around a bit more, removed and reseated all the boards,
re-seated the scanner IC, and........ I now have responsive keys, can load
sounds, play sounds etc.... :)
I do have a really bad digital noise in the left channel when using the
stereo headphone socket (with headphones).... I get silence in the left
channel, then a digital noise/echo sound, then really distorted version of
what 'm hearing on the right channel, then back to no sound again.... I
plugged my headphones into the L/R output and I get prfect sound from the
right channel, and no sound/digitally distorted sound from the left output.
Any ideas what I should be looking for regarding this? I can upload an
audio sample of it in a few hours if necessary
