The Clean Tube setting uses only tube V1. For the DistortedTube and SaturatedTube settings, the signal goes through both V1 and V2. ... high gain and a N.O.S.

You would be better off using a pedal befor the 2101 for distortion.Masking preamps can become flat and noisy sounding. Try using the 15 band eq in the 2101
