The MIDI manufacturers hardware description standard uses a PC900, so a PC900 (or PC901) is very common, specially in older synths. So you might search for it

I ve not seen a schematic or service manual for the 3000 but for my 1000 it was a pc900 optoisolator which are cheap and readily available from mouser etc. ...

My own thinking was the opto isolator system. Not sure how this is set up on CZs. On the interface I built for the commodore it was an individual chip.
